Category manager

What is your role at Ekibio?
I am a Category Manager for non-food brands. I am the intermediary between the marketing department, the sales department and Ekibio’s customers. I am currently managing several national brands. My key role is to help their product ranges perform well.

Can you describe your typical day at Ekibio?
I usually have a few in-house meetings to talk about products, their progress, brand strategies. I also study the market and research our competitors. Then I deal with strategy for my customers, including their product mix, their promotional and communication campaigns. I go to see them on their premises. It’s quite varied.

Can you tell us about your background?
I have a Master’s degree in marketing and communication. I started working for Ekibio as a Product Manager for the brand Ecodoo. I held this position for 9 years and then 3 years ago I became a Category Manager.

What skills do you think are needed to do your job?
I think you need to be inquisitive and attentive, be interested in the market, in the competitors. It’s also important to be organised, thorough and a good communicator, and have good persuasive skills!

What made you want to come and work for Ekibio?
The values of the company. I have two children who are 7 and 9 years old and I want to pass on the organic way of life to them.

What do you like about the company?
First of all the values of Ekibio, and the fact that it is a middle-sized company. The workplace and the premises are very pleasant, it’s a real pleasure to come to work. There’s a great atmosphere between employees, we all know each other. We are also lucky enough to have lots of services and activities available to us. For example, I go to the sports sessions with a coach every Thursday, I also went to the sophrology sessions for a year, I use the beauty centre and I have lunch at the company restaurant. Ekibio is also a company that encourages its employees to get involved and help them climb the career ladder.

How do you imagine the next few years?
I hope to improve my skills and expertise in the market and keep climbing the ladder within Ekibio.
