What is your role at Ekibio?
I am a procurement and planning specialist.
What does your job entail?
My job is to ensure the availability of the products I’m responsible for in order to prevent stockouts and meet our customers’ needs. To do this, I adjust the production schedule, taking into account factory constraints, storage capacity, and our sales forecasts.
What is your career path?
I began my professional career in logistics, holding various positions such as receiving, order fulfillment, and forklift operator. After spending 10 years in the receiving department at Ekibio, I had the opportunity to join the procurement/planning department in 2014.
I started with the portfolio of distributed and exclusive brands, then moved on to Ecodoo and Douce Nature. After that, I was put in charge of production planning for pasta.
Today, I manage planning and procurement for the Chasse production facility.
In your opinion, what qualities are needed to do your job?
In my opinion, the key qualities for this job are organization, attention to detail, and the ability to plan ahead.
Communication is also essential, since we serve as the central point of contact between different departments.
Responsiveness and the ability to handle the unexpected are indispensable, since priorities can change quickly, and you have to be able to adapt to ensure production continuity and customer satisfaction.
What made you want to work at Ekibio?
What made me want to work at Ekibio was, above all, its proximity to where I live. I was also drawn to the variety of organic products the company offers and its commitment to more responsible and sustainable food.
What do you like best about your job?
I appreciate the variety of tasks: no two days are really alike. From production planning to supply management and liaising with different departments.
